As i always do when i upload a NWOBHM album, i consult the Malc MacMillan book (See entry below) and this one puzzles me... It's not in the book (Not this version!) Mine contains 2 other tracks, each at the beginning of an album site, and is released on MAUSOLEUM RECORDS from Belgium... Anybody can fill me in on this one?

Contentiously subtitled England's Latest Heavy Metal Invasion, which is pushing it a bit with regard to the participation of HAWKWIND, ALASKA and TWELFTH NIGHT, this is yet another of the many half and half NWOBHM compilations which emerged in the mid-80's, largely for the benefit of the overseas market. The »British Steel« set appeared initially on M Port Records in the States in 1984, and was later picked up by Steel Trax, whereupon it was reïssued for the European community in 1986. Predictably, there's nothing unreleased or remotely out of the ordinary here, with VENOM, ROX and ALASKA being afforded two tracks each, the remainder of the LP being filled up with an assortment of NWOBHM and mainstream outfits. Not exactly an essential purchase, and I can't imagine that this unrepresentative selection of British talent sold in any great quantities at the time.
